Who we are
We are a charity which owns and manages the Community Use Building in Honiton, known to all as ‘The CUB’ and run by a dedicated board of trustees.
Our multi-use building and woodland provide a safe and secure space where community groups from Honiton and the surrounding villages can come together, learn, enjoy friendship and grow. We currently have up to 300 users a week and particularly cater for under-represented and vulnerable groups, keeping rents low to reach as many people as possible.
We are proud of the work done to improve the building since we opened our doors four years ago, and with the support of the community, including our generous local benefactors, will be able to continue for many years to come.
What we do
We hire our space to community groups, organisations and individuals. We have a number of long-standing groups who have been with us since the start, such as the Youth Club, the 729 Club for adults with learning difficulties and the Parents and Toddlers Group, but we have also more recently welcomed newer groups such as The Outdoors Group who occupy the woodlands and the NHS Pulmonary Rehabilitation Group.
As well as our regular groups, we also host a diverse range of other activities and events such as bouncy castle parties and the Honiton Repair Café.
